Your Internal Podcast.Inside The Employee App.Where Your Teams Already Are.

Staffbase, Haiilo and Unily are already installed on the phones you want to reach. A show can travel into those apps through an authenticated feed or an embedded player, with your single sign-on carried through, so nobody has to install anything new.

    Integration

Can we bring a podcast into our employee app?

Yes. Whichever employee app you run, the mechanism is the same: the show is delivered either as an authenticated feed the app links to, or as an embedded Hypecast player inside a page or post in the app. Your single sign-on is carried through, so listeners are recognised without a second password, access follows employment, and listening is reported in aggregate per audience group.

    Why teams pick this integration.

No new app to roll out

The app your colleagues already open stays the destination. The audio arrives inside it, which matters most where roughly 80 percent of the global workforce works away from a desk and a phone is the only screen they have at work.

    Sign-in carried through

Single sign-on and SAML through your existing identity provider mean listeners are recognised in the app. There is no shared password to circulate and no public RSS link that outlives someone's employment.

    One publish, several surfaces

The same episode can appear in the employee app, on the intranet and in a chat tool, while the archive, the approval workflow and the reporting stay in one place.

    How it works.

    1. 1

      Pick the surface

A post or page inside the app, a permanent audio section, or a link from an existing news item. Comms decides where the show belongs in the app's information architecture.

    2. 2

      Connect the show

The show is made available as an authenticated feed or as an embeddable player, and the app points at it. No custom development is needed on your side.

    3. 3

      Publish and report

Episodes are published once in Hypecast. Reach, listen-through and drop-off come back aggregated by audience group, ready for a comms report.

How does it connect with Staffbase?

Staffbase is where a lot of frontline organisations do their daily internal comms, and the audio should not pull people out of it. A show is connected either as an authenticated feed that a Staffbase page or post links to, or as an embedded Hypecast player rendered inside the app, with your single sign-on carried through so listeners are recognised.

Practically, the comms team treats the episode like any other piece of content in the app: it goes into the news flow or into a dedicated audio section, targeted at the audience that should hear it. Access stays tied to the account rather than to a forwarded file, and reporting stays aggregated.

How does it connect with Haiilo?

Haiilo customers usually run a mix of desk-based and distributed teams, so the same show often needs to work on a laptop at lunchtime and on a phone during a shift break. The connection follows the same two mechanisms: an authenticated feed the Haiilo surface links to, or an embedded player placed inside a Haiilo page or post.

Because single sign-on is carried through, the listener experience is one tap from the content they were already reading. Segmentation stays with Haiilo, where your audiences are already defined; Hypecast supplies the show, the archive and the listening data behind it.

How does it connect with Unily?

Unily tends to be the single intranet experience for an organisation, which makes it a natural home for a full audio library rather than a single episode. An embedded Hypecast player can sit on a Unily page, and an authenticated feed can serve the people who prefer to listen on the move.

As with the other two, nothing about your identity setup changes. Sign-in is carried through, access ends with the account, and the reporting you take into a review is aggregated by department, location or audience group.

    Use cases.

    Shift and frontline updates

Operations news, safety briefings and recognition stories, heard during a break on the phone people already carry.

    Onboarding on the move

A short onboarding series available in the app from day one, so new joiners can listen before their first full week.

    Leadership reach beyond HQ

A monthly leadership episode that reaches distributed teams in the app, not only the colleagues who read long intranet articles.

Native app audio or a Hypecast feed in the app?

Employee apps handle audio files well. A podcast programme needs a few things a file does not provide, which is where the two work together.
